Theme From The Iridescent Garden

So yeah, apparently this flash player isn't so anal after all and I'm just a dumbass. -j/eniphach/deadnail saves the day by noticing the number 3 should have been a 6. Hmmmm. Gives me an idea for a song...

...and speaking of GODFLESH...

I'd like to think of this as my first attempt at writing a theme song for a fictional television series with a bit of glitch and mixed up Asian flavor.

"Scifi with some Chinese elements? Didn't Firefly do that already?"
Yes they rutting did.

I dunno how I feel about the 80s video gamey sound effects. It's also maybe a little redundant (as if it's music for a video game) or maybe the tracks are just on loop or something. I do like it though. Very nice.

LOL. Well, first off let me say that I kinda like the "Above The Influence" campaign... There's something about being told to "reject negative influences" while ambient music drones on in the background that appeals to me. Kinda like the Soylent Green assisted suicide scenes with the flowers. ^.^

To be honest tho, when it comes to loop-based music, it's hard not to be redundant since a lot of the same sounds are repeated over and over again. The only resolve is to keep the songs shorter and/or add a lot more parts. Some songs use a synth based on the good ol' NES so maybe that's why it sounds video game-y.

That said, thanks for giving it a listen. These are 100% works of love that I can only work on in my spare time. (Some of these even sat on my harddrive for a couple years!)
